The currency markets remind me of a group of gamblers sitting at a blackjack table. They are all arguing over who is more miserable. They all have their problems and are inherently flawed. The only question is who will fall apart first. Will the debasement be slow or fast?
Since they are all flawed, the question becomes: who is relatively more miserable? Which government can waste their country’s resources and taxpayer money the fastest. Currently the USA is relatively better at this. All countries have their problems, but the US Dollar has been reflecting the relative state of the country.
I find it interesting that people only talk how they can generate more revenue for the government. Why doesn’t anyone ever talk about making government less wasteful, less coercive, and more efficient ???
